How we look after patients and our team.
A summary of the practice policies that keep patients safe, protect their information, and set clear expectations on both sides. Full policy documents are available on request at reception.
Feedback we can learn from.
If for any reason members of the team have not met your expectation of the dental service, we very much want to know about your experience and feelings.
We have an in-house complaints process led by a Patient and Personnel Manager. Please write to us addressing your complaint to the Patient Manager — we will acknowledge in writing and investigate promptly.
Practice policies, in plain English.
Patient acceptance policy
01Our policy on accepting patients — including terms and conditions for new registrations and how we manage our patient list.
Practice information leaflet
02Our latest practice information leaflet is published for patients — covering how we work and what to expect.
Fees & payments policy
03Charges are explained by your dentist at the outset. We discuss treatment options and costs, then agree a written plan before starting treatment.
Patient leaflet — personal information
04A short guide explaining what personal information we hold, why, and how we use it.
Quality assurance
05We work to high standards in providing your dental treatment and continuously monitor the quality of the patient experience.
Children & adult safeguarding
06Safety of our patients is a primary consideration. As health-care professionals we are duty-bound to contribute to safeguarding vulnerable members of our community. Concerns may be reported to the relevant authorities.
Harassment by patients
07We are committed to a safe working environment for our team and do not tolerate verbal or physical abuse — consistent with NHS-wide policy. Inappropriate behaviour may be reported to relevant authorities.
Confidentiality
08You can trust us with personal and sensitive information. Our team are trained to respect the confidentiality of every patient.
Data protection & information security
09Dental records are held securely at the practice and our staff follow strict instructions on keeping patient data safe.
Equality & diversity
10We follow all relevant legislation on equality and diversity — every patient is welcome and treated with respect.
