Severe or unmanageable pain
Pain that keeps you awake or is not controlled by over-the-counter analgesia.
Facial swelling
Rapidly progressing swelling of the face, jaw or neck.
Trauma to teeth or jaw
Chipped, loosened or knocked-out teeth following an accident.
Uncontrolled bleeding
Bleeding that will not stop after 20 minutes of firm pressure.
